Are you registered for the Special Education Law Conference and CLE?  The Mississippi Coalition for Citizens with Disabilities will host this day of training on Thursday, July 29, 2021 online via GoToWebinar from 9:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.  If you are the parent/foster parent/grandparent of a child or youth with a disability, we have parent stipends/scholarships available. Simply register as a parent, click that you are requesting a parent scholarship, and click "pay by check".  Someone from our office will be in touch via email about your stipend/scholarship.

Topics will include an overview of IDEA and Section 504; ethical boundaries in special education advocacy; effective communication within the IEP; legal and financial planning for disability; and emerging special education legal issues stemming from the COVID-19 pandemic. Attorneys will receive 5 CLEs, including 1 ethics hour (approval pending). Teachers will receive .5 CEUs (approval pending).
