This presentation is designed to provide parents with basic information about the changes that their child will experience as they go through puberty and adolescence. The information is intended to help participants feel more comfortable and confident as they help their child safely navigate the important transition from childhood to adulthood, to promote the independence, personal safety, healthy lifestyles, healthy relationships, and social inclusion of youth with disabilities. While other people may help, parents and families have the primary responsibility for teaching this information.
