Every parent wants to see their child be happy, healthy and a part of their community. Oftentimes, however, parents need to advocate to get their child the services they need. This training will help parents be an effective advocate for their child. While professionals have knowledge in a certain area, parents have life-long relationships with their child and the are the expert on their child.

This training is for parents of children and youth with all types of disabilities. Parents will learn advocacy skills and strategies they can use in many different situations with a variety of agencies and systems of care.
